96 Players Listed on NHL All-Star Ballot

NEW YORK — Wayne Gretzky of the Edmonton Oilers heads a list of 96 players who will appear on the National Hockey League’s official ballot for the 39th All-Star Game which will be played Feb. 4 at the Civic Center in Hartford, Conn.
It’s the first time fans have been given the opportunity to vote for the starters on the Prince of Wales Conference and Campbell Conference teams. The starters will be announced Jan. 20-21.
The reserves, selected by coaches Glen Sather of the Oilers (Campbell Conference) and Mike Keenan of Philadelphia (Prince of Wales), will be announced Jan. 27.
