KEY PLAYS
After Nate Morris intercepted a pass, Gardena flanker Pee Wee Smith ran 22 yards for a touchdown with 2:27 left in the third quarter to increase Gardena’s lead to 20-7 . . . Cleveland’s Albert Fann returned the second-half kickoff 86 yards for a TD . . . Gardena defensive end Robert Houston recovered a fumble at his 10 after a 31-yard Cleveland pass reception . . . Gardena quarterback John Matamoros passed 23 yards to tight end DeMarco Paige with 1:29 left in the first half for a 14-0 Gardena lead.
KEY PLAYERS
Flanker Pee Wee Smith (G) ran 10 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns. He also kicked a 37-yard field goal. Quarterback Norman Love (C) was 10 for 24 passing for 108 yards and ran eight times for 54 yards. Running back Mario Mottley (G) rushed four times for 85 yards, including a 45-yard run, and caught two passes for 14 yards.
