On Burbank’s first play from scrimmage, Frank Valdivia had a 64-yard touchdown run. . . . La Canada J. J. Gish came right back to lead La Canada on an 89-yard, 12-play march, finishing with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Mike Smith. . . . Burbank’s Sal Velasco kicked a 27-yard field goal to give Burbank a 10-6 lead with 1:47 left in the first half. . . . In the third quarter, a four-yard punt by Abo Velasco gave La Canada the ball at the Burbank 44. Gish lead La Canada to the goal line in 10 plays, finishing with a nine-yard pass to Mike Smith.
