British Laborites Hit U.S. Policy

BOURNEMOUTH, England — Britain’s opposition Labor Party passed a resolution today that condemned U.S. policy in Central America and said a future Labor government may supply Nicaragua with military aid to fight U.S.-backed rebels.
The party, on the last day of its annual convention, resolved to “put pressure on the United States to cease funding the contra forces and failing that, to supply military aid to Nicaragua for as long as . . . contra forces are similarly supplied by the United States government, the CIA, private sources, etc.”
