Israel Deports 3 More Palestinians

JERUSALEM — Israel has deported to Jordan three Palestinians accused of subversive activity, bringing total expulsions since August to 21.
Amin Makboul, Walid Nazal and Bahajat Jayousi were deported Wednesday after the Supreme Court rejected their appeal against expulsion orders issued in August.
Military sources said the three were activists of Palestinian guerrilla organizations and had engaged in “terrorism, subversion and incitement.” After serving prison terms for anti-Jewish attacks, they had been restricted to their home villages by military order.
The government decided in August to use deportation and detention without trial to combat a wave of anti-Jewish attacks that has claimed 14 lives in the last year.
