Laguna Niguel : Dedication Slated for Social Security Office
The new Laguna Niguel branch office of the Social Security Administration will be officially opened in ceremonies at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Citing a higher number of people receiving Social Security benefits in the greater Laguna area--which includes the Laguna Hills Leisure World complex for senior citizens--and the need for more space, the office was moved from San Juan Capistrano.
Located on the fifth floor of the Chet Holifield Federal Building at 2400 Avila Road in Laguna Niguel, the office serves the southern part of the county from El Toro to San Clemente.
Although the office actually moved in July, the ceremonies were scheduled for Tuesday, when the ribbon will be cut by Herbert Doggette, assistant commissioner of the Social Security Administration.
