Bill Buckley Hospitalized

DETROIT — Conservative columnist William F. Buckley Jr. was admitted to a Detroit hospital today after complaining of chest and stomach pains, an aide said.
Buckley, 59, who was in Detroit to address the Michigan State Bar, was first taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital, then admitted to the coronary care unit at Harper Hospital, a spokeswoman said. She said Buckley did not suffer a heart attack.
