San Ysidro
A 25-year-old woman found unconscious in a pool of blood Thursday in a money exchange booth in San Ysidro is in critical condition and on a life-support system at UC San Diego Medical Center, according to San Diego police.
Isabel Arias Navarette of San Ysidro is believed to have attempted suicide with a small semi-automatic pistol. She was found by police at 8:55 a.m.
Police said the money exchange booth at 117 W. San Ysidro Blvd. had been locked from the inside. No money was missing, they said.
