A Brea motorist died Monday morning when his car was struck by one vehicle and spun into another at the intersection of Central Boulevard and Puente Avenue.
Edward E. Myers died of internal injuries when his Porsche was struck by a Chevrolet truck at 7:17 a.m., Brea police reported.
The driver of the truck, Andrew Albidrez, 27, of Riverside was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter for allegedly failing to stop at a red signal, police said. Albidrez was in the Orange County jail Monday night in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
According to a police account, Albidrez was westbound on Central Boulevard when he struck Myers’ auto, which was southbound on Puente Ave. The collision sent Myers’ vehicle spinning and, in turn, caused it to hit another car, driven by Pamela Williams, 52, of Brea.
Williams, who was not seriously injured, was treated by a private physician instead of being taken to a hospital.
