A Sad Goodby to McAdoo; No Welcome for Green
Do the Lakers really need another power forward? And in Maurice Lucas, an aging, overpriced and injury ridden one at that. It seems to me that in letting Bob McAdoo go in favor of Lucas, they’ve exchanged a thoroughbred for a Clydesdale. Have the Lakers already forgotten Swen Nater’s and Dwight Jones’ pitiful attempts to keep up with their flying teammates.
