WASHINGTON — Representatives of 21,000 Teamsters union truck drivers and industry officials reached tentative agreement today to end the nationwide strike that halted delivery of new cars and trucks to dealers.
Terms of the agreement will not be disclosed until a ratification vote is taken. The settlement will be presented to the repesentatives of 92 local Teamsters unions at a meeting in Washington Friday, the Teamsters said.
