Voit Starts Building Center in Chatsworth

The Voit Cos. has begun construction of an $11-million high-technology, research-and-development center on 6.3 acres at Prairie and DeSoto avenues in Chatsworth, with completion scheduled for February, 1986.
It will consist of two buildings, one of 75,580 square feet at 9330 DeSoto Ave. and another of 51,920 square feet at 9350 DeSoto. A total of 380 surface parking spaces will provide three spaces for each 1,000 square feet leased.
Mezzanines suited for offices will total 39,500 square feet in the two buildings and up to 50% of each building can be turned into office suites.
The architect is Ware & Malcomb, Irvine; the landscape architect, William Patrick & Associates, Costa Mesa, and the contractor is Valley Construction Co., Woodland Hills. Leasing will be handled by Gordon J. Mace & Associates, Reseda.
