Singer Co. Awarded $12.1-Million Navy Deal

STAMFORD, Conn. — Singer Co. said its link simulation systems division of Silver Spring, Md., received a $12.1-million contract from the Navy to build a simulator that would train operators in the detection and identification of underwater sounds.
The contract from the Naval Training Equipment Center of Orlando, Fla., calls for an acoustic operator trainer equipped with stations that can train four operators at the same time for can be employed for individual operator training, the company said.
