Carson
A hearing on a proposed ordinance regulating the storage of petroleum coke, a black, sooty material stored in outdoor piles by several Carson industries, has been postponed until Aug. 19.
The hearing, initially scheduled for this week, was delayed to provide more time for city staff to work out a related agreement with Watson Land Co., which leases property on which some of the coke piles are located.
