Gov. George Deukmejian has appointed Dean S. Lesher of Orinda and Marianthi K. Lansdale of Huntington Beach to the Board of Trustees of the California State University system. A Republican, Lesher, 83, replaces the late John Crowley. He is the publisher of Lesher Newspapers of Walnut Creek. Lansdale, 53, also a Republican, replaces Michael Peevey of San Rafael, who resigned. She is vice president of the Lansdale Co. of Seal Beach. Their terms expire in 1993. Trustees are paid $50 per meeting, plus expenses. The positions require Senate confirmation.
