A Bum Trip
Jerry Hulse’s article regarding the manner in which he was treated at the Sheraton because he paid in cash has happened to us many times. Our most recent experience was at the Marriott-Albuquerque. I can understand that some people may leave without paying their bills, but hotel personnel should be trained to tell the difference. We now have an American Express Gold Card, simply because of the treatment we have received from hotels. It is too bad that a consumer must be forced to use credit, when in fact he wishes to pay in cash. The cash customer receives the poorest of treatment.
