HUDSON TV AD FOR ILLINOIS IS PULLED

CHICAGO — A television commercial made by Rock Hudson to promote Illinois tourism was pulled after the actor was reported as ill.
Robin Skiles, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Commerce and Community Affairs, said the ads were pulled a week ago when the agency heard reports that Hudson had cancer. He said the decision was made before it was disclosed that Hudson was suffering from AIDS.
