San Francisco police recovered at least $250,000 in stolen artworks after an anonymous caller told them where to look. Officers found eight works, including two Picasso drawings, in a box in a shopping center parking lot. Detectives said none of the paintings, stolen from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, was damaged. Police Inspector Steve Wilhelm said he suspects that the caller was the thief and that he was afraid of being caught by police. The recovered artworks include four Paul Klee drawings and two Edward Steichen photographs.
