Among star attractions will be a 100-meter traditional dragon from China and the performance of an 1,800-year-old dance by a Japanese cultural group. As many as 100 decorated floats will parade in Port Moresby, and choirs and bands will perform.
Nations taking part will include Mexico, Japan and the United States. About 20 heads of state will attend the official commemorative ceremony Sept. 16.
