Haiti’s official media proclaimed a government victory in a referendum endorsing the life term of President Jean-Claude Duvalier, but critics charged that the voting was rigged. Officials said it will be several days before a final count is available. The Roman Catholic radio station Soleil charged that the government trucked repeat voters from polling station to polling station.
