Oceanside
An argument between two illegal aliens Sunday night ended in the stabbing death of one of the men, an Oceanside police spokesman said.
The two migrant farm workers had been arguing in a camp area hidden in a tomato field when Oceanside police arrived at 7 p.m., police spokesman Bill Krunglevich said. Pedro Cruz Flores, who had been stabbed in the back and chest, was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, Krunglevich said.
Flores underwent surgery but died at 9:30 p.m., a spokeswoman at the hospital said.
Margarito Camacena Lopez, 29, was held in custody by Oceanside police on suspicion of murder, Krunglevich said.
