San Luis Obispo County’s First All-Suite Hotel Being Built
What is being called “the first all-suite conference hotel in the county” is under way in San Luis Obispo.
Laral Hotels of Avila Beach is co-developing the 193-room hotel with Trojan Enterprises of Glendora, which is also developing what the firm terms “the region’s first enclosed shopping center,” a 273,000-square-foot project, on the site, just off U. S. 101 at Madonna Road.
Designed by Millard Archuleta Associates of Los Angeles, the total complex is being built at a cost of more than $40 million.
Scheduled to open in mid-1986, the hotel will feature more than 10,000 square feet of conference facilities, an atrium in the lobby area, restaurant, spa, and indoor pool. It will open into the retail center, which is also under construction.
