San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies widened their search for a 10-year-old girl who disappeared from a trailer behind her family’s Fontana home. There have been no concrete leads, although sightings of Melissa Lynn Wakefield have been reported from cities in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, Sheriff’s Lt. Walt Colfer said Sunday. About 50 deputies combed the area around the Wakefield home on foot, horseback and in helicopters. They found no sign of the youngster, Colfer said.
