Arts Commissioner Sought: Residents who want to contribute to artistic development in their city can apply for a seat on the Arts Commission, the appointed body that assists the City Council in the formulation of art-related policies. Arts commissioners, who serve three-year terms without pay, advise the City Council on possible ordinances, rules and regulations for the preservation of art in Laguna Beach. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m., except during the summer festival season. Residents who would like to apply for the vacant seat should file an application with the city clerk by July 11. Interviews and a selection will be made by the City Council before its July 16 meeting.
