Crash Kills Fallbrook Woman, 53

FALLBROOK — A 53-year-old resident of Fallbrook was killed Sunday when the car in which she was a passenger went out of control, overturned, then rolled over her.
Maria Del Pilar was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle accident off Sandia Creek Drive near De Luz Road, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesman.
CHP officers were searching for the man who was believed to have been the driver of the car.
He was identified as Ignacio Ochoa, 24, also of Fallbrook. Ochoa reportedly fled the scene of the accident on foot.
Witnesses told the CHP that the car was being driven at a high speed on Sandia Creek Drive when it went out of control, then rolled 100 feet over a steep grade.
The accident was reported to the CHP at 10 a.m.
