A four-square block area of El Cajon Boulevard was without water for most of the day and several businesses on the 4200 block of the street were flooded when a 12-inch water main broke early Saturday morning.
The break in the pipe, which was pinpointed at the intersection of 41st Street and El Cajon Boulevard, was repaired by 6 p.m., a water utilities spokeswoman said.
That area of El Cajon Boulevard was blocked off to traffic for several hours early Saturday morning. Several businesses in the 4200 block were flooded with about an inch of water, the spokeswoman said.
