The city of Duarte will eliminate several programs and capital improvement projects if it loses half its federal revenue sharing funds in a measure being considered by Congress. The proposed reduction would result in a loss of $132,000 during the current fiscal year. If the city loses the funds, projects to be reduced or eliminated are the expansion and improvement of Beardslee Park, street sweeping, park patrol, the Senior Nutrition and Activities Program, supervised parks and playgrounds, improvements at Royal Oaks Park and youth sports programs.
