3 Die, 1 Hurt as Plane Crashes Into Backyard

EL CERRITO, Calif. — A twin-engine plane crashed in the backyard of a Riverside County home, killing three people aboard and critically injuring a fourth, authorities said.
Two of the victims, identified as James Heatley, 27, of Riverside and Paul Thomas Faskas, 47, of Corona, died instantly when the plane hit the ground Monday, a sheriff’s spokesman said. John Dalbert Cullen, 17, of Beaumont died at Riverside General Hospital.
A fourth person, who was not identified, remained in critical condition Tuesday.
