Teacher Honored
Paige Powell has received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the Master’s and Credential Alumni Assn. for student teaching at Warner Avenue Elementary School in Westwood. She completed her student teaching at Warner as part of studies at the UCLA Graduate School of Education, and she expects to receive her master’s degree in education in August. A graduate of UCLA, she had a straight-A average during her master’s and credential work, school officials reported.
