Reservations Withdrawn
We have just returned from a lovely three-week trip through Norway, Sweden and Denmark. We must warn your readers of the Mercur Hotel, Vester Farimagagade 17, Copenhagen, Denmark. We had made reservations with them for a three-day stay. We confirmed the reservations at 9 a.m. on the morning of arrival, only to be told when we arrived at 11 a.m. that VIPs had our rooms and they could do nothing about it!
On the plus side, the Scandic Hotels were helpful, courteous and honored their reservations at all times. Also, be prepared--there are no automatic laundries in Scandinavia.
