Suspect Sought After N. Hollywood Slaying
A tenant at a North Hollywood apartment house allegedly shot and fatally wounded his apartment manager’s son Monday night during an argument, Los Angeles police said.
Detective Howard Langdren said Michael Lee Palmer, 41, of Hollywood, was shot several times in the upper body at an apartment complex in the 1440 block of Tiara Street by Carl Wendall Garner, 49, while Palmer was doing some maintenance work at the building.
Garner drove his car away from the apartments after the 10:20 p.m. shooting and is still being sought by police, Langdren said. Palmer, whose mother manages the apartments, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said.
