Icahn was freed to resume buying TWA stock.

Missouri Circuit Judge Bernhardt C. Drumm Jr. dissolved a temporary restraining order that he had issued June 3 preventing New York financier Carl C. Icahn from buying more stock of Trans World Airlines. The judge said that he took the action because it “is now apparent that TWA is negotiating with at least one other party in an effort to find a friendly takeover candidate.” A spokesman for Icahn said he doesn’t know what the financier will do now.
