Unemployment Fell in May in W. Germany

NUREMBERG, West Germany — The number of workers on West Germany’s unemployed list fell by 112,011 last month, leaving 2,192,627 people out of work, the Federal Employment Office said Wednesday.
The office said the nation’s 8.8% unemployment rate indicates that about 60,000 more people were out of work last month, compared to May, 1984, figures.
