Security Pacific added a mobile-home finance unit.
The Los Angeles-based bank said its Security Pacific Housing Services subsidiary had received regulatory approval to buy the financing portfolio of the Western region of the manufactured housing financing department of General Electric Credit Corp. The purchase includes about $120 million in loans and a $50-million loan servicing contract. The Security Pacific unit will take over GECC offices in San Jose, Anaheim and Reno.
