Britain plans to sell seven major airports.

British Transportation Secretary Nicholas Ridley told Parliament that the government plans to sell the agency that runs the airports to the private sector. The British Airports Authority owns and manages seven major airports in the United Kingdom, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, which serve London. Overall, the seven airports serve 75% of all passengers in Britain. Analysts said they expected the government’s sale to bring about $380 million.
