Store Completely Renovated

The historic Lieberg Building at 911 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena has been restored, and the law firm of Robert Mills Inc. has occupied the entire top floor.

Built as a department store in 1926, the building was reduced to its four original walls before the renovation, designed by Feola-Dennihan Partnership AIA of Glendale began.

Irvine-based Clock Construction completed the job in six months at a cost of $917,000. The project, contracted by Trammell Crow Co. (which is also handling leasing), consists of 30,000 square feet of office and commercial space on three floors and a basement.

Restoration included such details as refinishing original doors, patching and cleaning the terra-cotta front exterior, and preserving original copper mullions. The building also was completely rewired and brought up to seismic and other city codes.
