Two men fired shots at a La Palma gas station before they filled a gas can with gasoline and robbed the cash register of about $65, police said Friday. There were no injuries.
Police said the robbers trained a handgun on the attendant at Bio Fuel Shell Station on Crescent Avenue about 11:45 p.m. Thursday, took the money and then filled their gas can before fleeing on foot.
La Palma police spokeswoman Ann Owens said the bandits were believed to have hopped into a car parked west of the station on Crescent. She didn’t know if the car had run out of gas.
