The $230-million project will tap some 460 billion cubic feet of gas in three fields off the east coast of England. The London-based subsidiary of Atlantic Richfield, which has a 43.3% interest in the production, will act as operator of the complex. The other companies are units of Sun Oil, Canadian Superior Oil and Deminex U.K. Oil & Gas. Officials expect the fields to be producing 144 million cubic feet of gas a day by late 1986.
