He served for three years on the institute’s board of directors and another three years on its supplier board of governors, including terms on each as vice chairman and chairman; two years on the energy advisory committee, including a term as chairman, and two years on the supplier show committee, with a term as chairman. He also became the “perennial chairman” of the institute’s annual golf tournament.
