Greatwest Hospitals Corp. Inc. has leased 70,000 square feet of space--the entire fourth, fifth and sixth floors of an eight-story, 168,000-square-foot building--in the Nexus Financial Center now under construction at the intersection of Parker and Town & Country avenues in Orange.
The 10-year lease has a total consideration of more than $14 million, according to Nexus Development Corp. of Newport Beach and La Jolla, the developer. When the 315,000-square-foot complex is completed in the late summer, it will also contain twin three-story buildings of 73,500 square feet each.
Greatwest, now in Santa Ana, plans to move its corporate headquarters; the office of General Medical Centers, its California health maintenance organization (HMO), and all other subsidiary offices into the Nexus center on its completion. The corporation owns and operates HMOs in California, Michigan and Hawaii and six hospitals in Southern California.
