Don R. Conlan has been elected president and a director of Capital Group Research Inc., a newly created investment research company within Capital Group Inc., a Los Angeles-based group of investment management companies. He remains Capital Group’s chief economist and president and a director of Capital Strategy Research Inc., a subsidiary involved in international economic, government and political research.
Conlan is the current chairman of the Conference of Business Economists. He was associate director and chief economist of the Cost of Living Council under former President Richard Nixon.
