Prime unveiled its high-speed minicomputer.
The new top-of-the-line model, the 9955, performs up to 60% faster than the company’s current top model, the 9950, but costs 7% less, Prime Computer said. The price of the 9955, which can accommodate up to 254 display terminals, with 4 million bytes, or characters, of main memory, costs $321,000, the Natick, Mass.-based firm said.
