Seven members of a Palestinian sabotage ring that planned to detonate a booby-trapped car in downtown Tel Aviv in 1983 were convicted after a secret trial, Israel radio and Armed Forces radio said. The seven reportedly are to be sentenced Wednesday in Haifa. Among those arrested was a Lebanese described as a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization. The six others reportedly are from Israel’s northern Galilee region.
