‘Mirage Politics’

My thanks to Margaret Mirabile of Redondo Beach and Rancho Mirage (Jan. 8) for setting me straight on the actual location fo the Annenberg estate--Rancho Mirage not Palm Springs--where President Reagan often vacations. Now I finally understand the Reagan ideology, and from whence it came. Rancho Mirage has inspired “Mirage Politics.”

Whenever a problem arises or an unfavorable issue is raised, simply treat it as though it does not exist. Convince yourself that it is only a figment of your imagination--a mirage.
