North County : Voters’ League Compiling a Reference Book on Six Cities
- Share via
The League of Women Voters of North Orange County is seeking information from six northern county cities to produce a pamphlet about local governments, services and cultural history.
The pamphlet, about Brea, Fullerton, La Habra, Yorba Linda, Placentia and Buena Park, will be distributed later this year, said Edith Bockian, chapter president.
League members will contact municipal agencies to compile the information. Council members from each of the cities are to meet for a panel discussion Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Fullerton Savings and Loan, 2400 E. Chapman Ave., Fullerton. The public is invited.
“We’re not pointing them (city policy makers) in any direction, we’re simply giving an evaluation of what is, what exists,” Bockian said. “It’s simply a reference book.”
The League of Women Voters has its new chapters conduct such surveys, to help them become acquainted with their territories and be successful as lobbyists, Bockian said.
The League of Women Voters of North Orange County was formed in May, 1984.
