USC basketball player Cheryl Miller and Florida swimmer Tracy Caulkins have been named co-winners of the Broderick Cup, presented annually to the nation’s outstanding female athlete as voted by the nation’s intercollegiate athletic directors. George Goodale, 77, a statistician with the Angels since the club’s inception in 1961, was in stable condition at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange Tuesday after suffering a stroke Monday night, an Angels spokesman said.
