Bar Patron Sues After Not Being Readmitted

A North Hollywood man has sued the Bobby McGees Conglomeration in Phoenix, charging that he was not allowed to finish a glass of wine at the firm’s Burbank restaurant after he went to his car for a package of chewing gum.
Trent Jason, 35, charges in the suit filed last week in Burbank Superior Court that he left the restaurant last Nov. 21 only after a doorman assured him that he would be readmitted despite long lines and a capacity crowd in the restaurant and bar.
The suit states, however, that Jason was refused entry when he returned and that restaurant personnel called Burbank police when Jason insisted his glass of unfinished wine was still inside.
Jason, a Glendale real estate broker, filed the suit without the assistance of an attorney. He seeks $300,000 in damages for infliction of emotional distress.
A spokesman for the restaurant firm declined to comment on the suit.
