Home Health Care of America Inc. posted a record profit for its second quarter, matching predictions it made earlier this month and reversing its losses of the same quarter a year ago. For the three months ended Dec. 31, it had earnings of $1.7 million on record revenues of $16.4 million. During the same quarter in fiscal 1984, the Newport Beach firm posted a loss of $1.7 million on revenues of $12.2 million.
Home Health Care provides medical support and supplies to individuals in their own homes. On Jan. 4, the company formed a new subsidiary, America’s Pharmacy, to acquire Federal Prescription Service Inc., a distributor of pharmaceuticals by mail with annual revenues of $7.5 million.
