Stamp to Honor College Founder, Activist Bethune

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.( —  Mary McLeod Bethune, the daughter of former slaves who became a presidential adviser and founder of Bethune-Cookman College, will be honored with a commemorative stamp, which will be issued on March 5. The civil rights activist of the 1920s and 1930s died in 1955.
