GTE said it restructured its major businesses.
Theodore F. Brophy, chairman and chief executive of the Stamford, Conn.-based communications firm, announced the realignment of the business into three operating groups: telephone operations, diversified products and communications services. Among the changes, the TeleMessager business will be transferred to communications services.
